Higher Rate of Inflation recorded in February 2017

Inflation-chart-1The National Statistics Office issued a press statement wherein it reported that the monthly rate of inflation in February rose to 0.4%, up from -1.1% in January. The largest upward impacts were mainly due to higher prices of vegetables, home furniture and accommodation services.  The largest downward impacts were mainly due to package holidays, mobile phones and garments respectively.  The 12-month moving average rate for February remained at a constant rate of 1%.
